Partly because I was out of town, partly because of babysitter issues, and partly because I’ve been working on a project with a friend of mine and we finally finished it tonight! I’ve been getting a lot of good feedback for Night’s Knights. Thought I’d share it with you all. I love this story, the way its weaved together over time. | 2:06 pm | Back To Work! Back To Work! The last few weeks have been jam-packed with activity for me. My son turned three with much ado. Baycon was great. It was fabulous to meet you all and to re-connect with old friends. Next year seems too far away! Well, back from Baycon, it’s time to get to work. No more fooling around. Expect to see more Episodes of Night’s Knights on Podiobooks.com as well as new Chapters each week at vamp.podshow.com. I’m also working on a few short stories (even though I hate them!) and pitching my finally finished novel, Artistic License. My birthday is tomorrow. Nothing special planned besides getting over my post-Con cold. At least I didn’t catch it till after I came home. That’s new. :) |

| 12:53 am | MAY RUSHING BY! May has been an extremely busy month for me and will continue to be. We will celebrate my son’s third birthday and attend Baycon before the month is through. June 1st is my birthday and yes, I do accept large presents! I continue to work on Night’s Knights Vampire Podnovel Episodes and if I achieve my goal, there will be no breaks in the podcasting schedule because of our vacation. I’m getting to the end of this book. I believe there are a little less than 10 Chapters left. The next project I do, I will plan it out a little better. Night’s Knights has been the first book I’ve podcasted. It was raw and I’ve learned so much over the 8 months that I’ve been doing this. I know that all I’ve learned will just make me better. Lots of work to do! I have a lot of pending emails from listeners from the last couple of days. Don’t worry, I’ll get to you soon, I promise. Current Mood: busy |

| 9:41 pm | Busy, busy days! I’ve recently finished Chapter 30 of Night’s Knights Vampire Podnovel. Pretty exciting episode. Jespa is given the Immortal Kiss. Right now I am one week ahead of posting Night’s Knights, so you can listen to Chapter 30 early by clicking the book cover in the upper left hand corner. Once, the page pops up, just scroll down to Chapter 30 and click. I’m working now on Chapter 31. Markham tells of his life as a young vampire and of a love that is forbidden in more ways than one. Recently I’ve joined the Second Life community. And now, you can listen to Night’s Knights on Cookie Island. Search my Second Life name “Emz Mazie” and look under my favorites. | 10:42 pm | Chapter 29 of Night’s Knights Vampire Podnovel Finished Chapter 29 of Night’s Knights Vampire Podnovel last night. It will post May 1st at 13:13 PST. Boy was it a hard one. Not sure why it was so hard. I did have to change the POV. I deleted a whole bunch of stuff that I thought wasn’t very important to the book. Also, I was having some trouble with my mic picking up the right amount of my voice. I think I had the mic in the wrong position. And then I had some different people this time. So! All of these things made the process seem long and forever. However, that all being said, I think it was a good Episode. I still feel that I am learning every podcast session. | 8:07 pm | NEW STUFF? New audio welcome on emzbox, new Zazzle panel with emzbox gear! Night's Knights Chapter 27 will be coming out on April 17th. After that, no more pre-op recorded podcasts! Oh no! Will be starting to record again soon with new lower (people tell me) voice. I didn't notice it was lower until I recorded something. I was like... who the heck is that? Well, it was me. I'm not too upset because prior I sounded like Minnie Mouse and maybe now I will sound like Minnie Mouse's slightly older sister. Whatever the case, hopefully NK fans will be able to deal with the slight change in the charrie voices. It's not so drastic. Most people probably won't notice. Welp, off to work on Chapter 28. | 9:18 pm | Tonsils may be the devil, but recovery is purgatory! 3rd week of recovery just ended and I don't feel completely well yet! I was supposed to go back to my mundane job on Tues Apr. 1st, but had a fever that night before and horrible throat/coughing/etc... that am. Got up... pushed myself to shower, dress, and drive up to the place, but couldn't get out of the car. Was so supremely sick! And I am of course one of those people who feel like if I call off work it's a personality flaw or something. Anyway- tonsil dr. gave me 1 more week to recover @ home and I should be recovered (his words) by 2 weeks... which means that by Apr. 11th I will be completely restored to health just in time to catch all those spring colds & flus! Sickness just sucks. Hopefully with my tonsils out, I will have a lot less of it. NK podnovel is still posting every week. The wonder of modern technology is that you can set the podcasts to release themselves on a weekly basis so that if you are away or under the knife (eek!) no one will miss you because your podnovels are still going strong. I hope, though, that my voice recovers before I run out of pre-recorded pre-op episodes! O.o AL edit is complete and input. That book is ready and on it's way into the oblivion of hoping to be published someday. It's my first main-streamish-romanitc-horror and I wrote it with the idea of appealing to large audience and so I hope it will. I hope it will get picked up and then my next worry will be to start the next book, which I sort of am... though having a slow start. I keep wanting to go back to SD, but I am stopping myself. Yes, SD may be the next thing I podcast, but I am going to try and get this next one (Northanger- a modern re-write of Northanger Abbey) done first. We'll see how far I get. I feel strange working on something other than AL because since it was lost 2x and finally finished the end of 2007, I think I've been working on it for 3 years? Maybe 4 because of the birth of my son? I usually don't spend that much time on a book. Well, I'm not feeling the best right now, better go get some sleep. Current Mood:  sick |

| 5:23 pm | TONSIL SURGERY I will be out for awhile-tonsil surgery. Chap. 23 will post March 20th, Chap. 24 will post March 27th. Enjoy! I will be back in April. That is my official statement anyway. On the real side, I'm kinda freaking out that I am having surgery tomorrow. 2.75 years after having a major life/death situation with the birth of my son, I am going back to the same hospital and putting on a robe. Kinda freaking me out and playing with my mind. All the thoughts of "ALMOST DYING" are coming back. However, they assure me it's a low risk surgery and that I will be out tmr night. Hopefully that is true and I am home resting sooner rather than later. I hope for no complications. As long as everything goes well, I will be back in April, if not before. AND NO MORE SORE THROATS! | 9:39 pm | SURGERY IS PLANNED! OK, so the tonsil surgery is planned. March 17th, which just happens to be St. Patrick's Day. Weird things have happened to me on St. Patrick's Day and so this will just add to the list. I started a job on St. Patrick's Day and it just happened to also be the first Monday after Daylight Savings Time changed. At the time, we didn't have cable and didn't go out and do anything on Sat. or Sun. and didn't read the newspaper... so I didn't know to change our clocks. -.- I arrived at work 1 hour late for my first day. It sucked major. Everyone looked at me strange. Then, I forgot to wear green so people kept pinching me. I'm like... "Hello! My eyes are green, leave me alone!" It was definitely one of those days you want to crawl back in bed. I'm glad the surgery it scheduled though. I feel like until that's over, my life is on hold. Gonna try to go do some Night's Knights recording. Wish me luck! Current Mood: anxious |

| 12:03 am | Sickness Go AWAY! Just getting over yet another illness. I think that makes #16 in this never-ending sickness circle. They just need to drop a couple tons of bleach on California to kill all the germs. OH WAIT! They already did that in Beverley Hills right? Hhehehe... really bad joke I know. Finished Office Angst #32 finally. With being sick it took me three nights instead of 1. Need to work on Night's Knights Chapter 19. That'll be #2 of Severina's story. Never got an answer from Mission UK, but kinda didn't expect it. Went ahead and used Green Druid instead. That's fine. It's good music. It's just not "Severina". But it's ok. I'm surviving with the decision. So tired! Need to go get some sleep so I can do NK podcast tmr. Current Mood:  tired |

| 8:54 pm | You want the funny? We got the funny. Seriously. If you listen to Episode #30 of Office Angst, you'll totally get that. Already February 2008? I can't believe it. Time is going so fast and we never have time to slow down and chill. I need some vacation, but don't think I'll be getting any in the near future. Too many sore throats recently eating up my vacation time. Will be off work for the tonsil surgery, but that's no fun! Podcasting has been taking up a lot of my time. Night's Knights podcast is going really well. I'm almost finished with Julien's tale. I emailed The Mission UK to see if I could use their song "Severina" for Severina's section of NK, but I highly doubt I will get an ok on that. I better go work on my last AL edit. Need to finish it up and have been kinda dragging my feet. Current Mood: sleepy |

| 7:18 pm | Tonsils Are The Devil! Part Two So, I went to the tonsil Dr. last Thursday and he stuck this camera up my nose and down my throat. It was the weirdest thing I've had done to me... followed closely by the doctor sticking a giant needle into my pregnant stomach! Yeeeouch! Afterwards my voice was all weird from my throat being all numbed out. I recorded myself because I was so cracking up by my voice. It kinda sounded like I swallowed a helium balloon. I think I will be playing it on my podshow Office Angst in about a week (probably Episode #30). I guess it's official. I will be getting my tonsils out. I don't have a firm date yet, but it will probably be in March. Until then I have some major podcasting to record! Hopefully I won't get another sore throat between now and then!
